As we all know the Flash was a speedster but there was more than just one portrayer of this energy.
The Speed Force is a cosmic force based around velocity and movement and one of The Seven Forces of the Universe. It is the representation of reality in motion, being the very cosmic force that pushes space and time forward.
These three are the most recognized speedsters after the Flash.
There was more than just one Flash, Jay Garrick was the first to suit up the red spandex, he used to wear a metal silver helmet and was from a different earth, the one called earth-2.
During and event the Flash was vibrating his molecules when he suddenly disappears from the stage. He finds himself outside near an unfamiliar city, which he discovers to be Keystone City, the home of the Golden Age Flash. Keystone City is located on Earth-Two, an Earth in a parallel universe. He looked up Jay Garrick in the phone book and introduces himself to the older speedster
A young boy was gifted with powers as the Flash. This brave kid helped the Flash as his partner and since the death of our hero he stopped being kid flash to become the second Flash on this earth.
The actual Flash was recruited by Waverider to help stop the rift in the future that was erasing the timeline. Unfortunately, instead of closing the rift, he was sucked into it and thrown through time. The timeline was erased because Flash failed to hit "Ultimate Speed," though DC's heroes were later able to restore the timeline.
When a big threat attacked central city, all the scarlet speedsters decided to work together to stop it. In the middle of the battle a new speedster appeared in the scene, this one called himself as Impulse, but when the fight ended he disappeared, fortunately the Flash said that he was ok, and he had to go back home.
After Superboy-Prime attacked Superboy in Smallville, injuring and killing many Titans, Impulse joined with The new Flash and Jay Garrick to stop the rampage of Superboy-Prime by running him at top speed into the Speed Force. Jay reached his limit before entering the Speed Force and the Flash turned into energy and vanished, leaving Impulse alone with Superboy-Prime.
